Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) has trained about 856 students from across the districts in Telangana to get certified in Business English Certification (BEC) from Cambridge English. The valedictory session for the course was held on 27th March 2018 at TASK office where, Mr.Andrew Fleming, the Deputy High Commissioner to Telangana, a representative of the English British Council, was present along with Mr. Sujiv Nair, CEO, TASK and other members to honour the students.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Fleming shared that he was impressed by skilling programs conducted by Telangana Government through TASK. He said that English was a unifying language and encouraged the students to experience standing and speaking in front of an audience for developing their skills and confidence.
Mr. Sujiv Nair said that the student’s intake from last year was doubled and several students from Khammam, Karimnagar, Medchal, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad were benefited from this program in terms of their ability to speak in English and their overall confidence. “The BEC Certification rate is more than 90%,” he affirmed.
Many students and faculty who were present at the event shared their valuable experiences of how TASK had helped them with intensive coaching and also the expertise they have gained during the course. Students testified that the BEC training has indeed boosted their confidence, instilled positive energy in them and trained them with how to speak and behave in a professional environment.
A student, Amira, said, “We learned to speak in a professional environment.” Another student Deepika said, “The exams are based on everyday life and periodic practice helped me pick up vocabulary.”
Vishnu another student, from Karimnagar shared, “My teacher took special interest to train us beyond our academic schedule and provided us handouts for easy reference. Special Thanks to TASK for bringing global universities to Telangana. Nikita another student testified saying, “Thanks to BEC, I overcame my stage fear and am with ISEC now.
The faculty members from various engineering colleges and other degree colleges who were trained also shared their part of testimonies as for how TASK had helped them to further train their students better with knowledge, skill techniques and a scheduled protocol.
Dr. Manjusha, faculty said, “The coaches Hari and Chitra from Cambridge helped us to enhance our confidence in teaching and we are confident to take BEC classes .”
Business Preliminary is one of the Cambridge English Qualifications that helps youth to get the practical language skills needed to start doing business in English. It may be mentioned that TASK and Cambridge had signed a MoU to skill youth in Telangana on Business English Certification in April 2016.
