KSDC to provide skilled manpower as per industry requirement: KSDC is doing its best to continue the skilling despite COVID-19. It has  implemented an online test for aspirants to identify their strengths and skill training will be provided based on their recommendations.

Youth returning to native places to get relevant training: MSDE has come up with many ideas to train people in the Industrial Training Institutes (ITI). It has linked all the data of people returning to their natives to ITIs to provide them relevant training.

Google app for kids to improve reading skills: Google’s Read Along Android app helps teach reading skills to elementary school students. It is now available in early access in 180 countries including India. The app supports nine languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Hindi.

Manohar Parrikar Goa Scholars Scheme by the government: The State government has introduced a scholarship in the name of former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar for those willing to pursue post graduation or doctoral courses in India and abroad. Rs 8 lakh would be provided to the candidate to pursue higher studies in India or USD 25,000 for studies abroad.

A UK education tech firm expands online courses in India: A UK-based education technology company is going to expand online courses available across international schools in India from September. It will offer a range of new online “Cambridge IGCSE” and “Cambridge International AS & A Level” courses to Cambridge International Schools throughout India.

International Solar Alliance aims to develop 20 GW of Solar Parks: Eight new and innovative initiatives were announced at a meeting of members of the ISA. The announcement which was made through a video conference included the action plan for developing up to 20 GW of solar parks.

Bihar mulls food processing units to deal with migrant problems: The food processing industries will soon be classified under the priority sector of the state industrial investment promotion policy.the department has also formulated a plan to impart on-line training to individuals on farm technology and food processing methodology.
