Brainware Pvt. Ltd. conducted a job fair cum skill fair from November 28-30, 2017.
The venue for the event was Brainware House, Plot Y8, Block EP, Sector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata – 700091. Brainware is an NSDC partner. This job fair was for the trainees of various skill training projects under PMKVY and various departments of Government of West Bengal, with an inauguration ceremony in the presence of various dignitaries from the Government of West Bengal like Shri Purnendu Basu, Honorable MIC, Technical Education, Training & Skill Development; Shri Sadhan Pande, Honorable MIC, Self Help Group and Self Employment; Dr Upendranath Biswas, Honorable Chairman, West Bengal SC ST Development & Finance Corporation; Shri Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, Chancellor, Brainware University and Founder-Chairman, Brainware Group; Shri Bikram Das, State Engagement Officer, NSDC; and Ms. Pooja Mukherjee, Director, Brainware Group. Training certificates were also handed out to the successful trainees by the dignitaries. 49 companies participated in the job fair, and it catered to electronics and retail sector. MoU/LoI was signed with 24 companies. 598 candidates participated in the job fair. 365 of them were selected for jobs.

It was a memorable day and a proud moment for Brainware Group of Institutions when on 10th of March, 2018 the Minister-in-Charge of Technical Education, Training & Skill Development, Sri Purnendu Basu and Shri Bikram Das, State Engagement Officer, NSDC stepped in our campus as guests. Sri Purnendu Basu inaugurated Prakriti – Organic Research & Farming – a initiative for organic farming and marketing of the products through market linkage. They also visited our PMKVY and DDU-GKY centre and encouraged the students with his inspiring words, and also handed over certificates to the successful PMKVY students. The memory of this day will remain indelibly etched in the hearts of the students and with golden letters in the history of Brainware.
