In this edition of our News Digest, we feature snippets from various states, government initiatives and industry updates. The good news is that CBSE schools may soon have vocational subjects as options in 9th and 10th standards. And, the first ever training for women masons was launched by CREDAI in Chhattisgarh. Another headline that demands our attention has to do with the salary for skilled professionals. This is with reference to a news item in one of the dailies that pointed out that “25% skilled youth placed by Maharashtra government quit jobs within months due to poor salary”. This is indeed a matter of concern for all the stakeholders about how we can ensure better pay and support of living in cities etc.  Here’s updating you with the next edition of skill development news digest 150317.
