Become an apprentice in 8 easy steps! Kick start your career in an industry of your choice

Are you ready to choose your career in your favorite industry? There are many ways to find a job and build a career. Apprenticeship is one of the most promising ways to find your preferred job and plan your career. Today’s job-market has become dynamic as never before and industries are demanding skilled workforce. Job-oriented practical training equips you to develop your skills and apprenticeship training make you industry-ready.

You’ll get first-hand knowledge of how the industry works, earn while you learn under the guidance of industry experts and become employable. Also, kicking off your career with an apprenticeship is a great way to learn about the industry work culture and plan your career ahead.

Different levels of entry

If you are 14+ years and above and is looking for a career in Media, Retail, Electronics, Agriculture, Beauty, Banking or any other industry, you can easily apply for an apprenticeship through the apprenticeship India portal.ITI pass-outs, Graduates / Diploma holders, students pursuing Graduation/Diploma, Fresh apprentices and all Pass-outs from NSQF aligned courses including PMKVY/DDU-GKY can utilize the diverse opportunities available on the portal.The duration of the apprenticeship varies based on the qualification, sector, job type etc.If you are a graduate/diploma holder, the apprenticeship period can range from 6-12 months. However, for all others, the duration is 6-24 months.

Applying for apprenticeships has become easy as never before. Through NSDC’s apprenticeship portal, it has become easy to search the available opportunities and connect with any industry.All you need to do is to follow these 8 steps:

Step 1: Visit the website https://apprenticeshipindia.org/

Step 2: Open ‘Candidate User Manual’ from Get Started tab to read the instructions

Step 3: Go back and click on ‘Register’ and choose ‘Candidate’ to register

Step 4: Enter all the details and click ‘Submit’

Step 5: Save the ‘Candidate Code’.Also, check your Email for ACTIVATION LINK and activate your profile.

Step 6: Visit the apprenticeship portal once again and ‘Login’ with your Email/Candidate code

Step 8: Search for apprenticeship opportunities and START APPLYING!
