Significance of welding competitions

Welders, Welding Engineers, Joining Specialists, etc. need to operate various types of welding equipment both safely and accurately with zero or minimum errors. They are expected to make clean and accurate joints in a wide range of industries and locations. This could either be a construction site, on a ship or even underwater.

By participating in welding competitions in India and those held at the international levels, welders tend to improve their knowledge in welding, develop their understanding of some of the key concepts in welding and specific skills that are of utmost importance globally, and can perform better in their job roles while placed in the industry.

“I got inspired by Fronius India’s innovative technology, developments, and their contribution to the field of welding. I participated in this competition to test my knowledge in welding”, said Mr. Karthikeyan S.

Apart from gaining knowledge and benefitting one’s technical skills, welders will also have a platform to perform and exhibit their welding skills. Cash prize, certificate, and recognition are an added advantage and an achievement in itself.
