At ACE foundation, we are focused on long term training of 16-18 year olds with an Industry supported Swiss Vocational School Model. We have set up the institute at Rhino Machines – Anand under license of SkillSonics® (Swiss govt/institution partnered), imparting industry required Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Training with NSDC Certified courses, and assuring employment in the industry. Here, we fund 80% of the fee from the industry of which Rhino has committed to take 10 students every year under scholarship. We invite other industries to support another 30 students to bring down the fees from Rs 6000 per month to Rs 1000 per month for each student.
The first batch of 4 students have already completed the course and have commenced working at Rhino Machines from 16th August 2018. The 2nd batch has commenced with 11 students already engaged, and if we are able to add more in September itself, we can take them in the current batch.
The Production Technician course is developed on the following structure:
1 – Year Foundation Course :Â Foundation course covering basics of manufacturing in electrical and mechanical, workshop calculation, work ethics, safety, technical English and computer. This includes theory and practical both.
6 – Months specialisation. This includes theory and practical both.
6 – Months productive work. This includes 6-months of industry-given jobs that students execute within the vocational school. This gives them the confidence as well as solid technical foundation to be job-ready from day 1 in the industry.
We are looking at associating with industries in the following ways:
- Contributions towards scholarship to students from lower income backgrounds to pursue this course.
- The fees for the course is Rs. 6000 per month. Industry can support the fees of students starting from Rs. 1000 per month to Rs. 6000 per month for two years.
Following an intake model based on the course:
The industry identifies the students who might be interested in a manufacturing career in their industry. Industry identifies students, shares the course they require students to undertake (6 months to 2 years in duration). Students undergo the course at ACEF and get placed in your industry.
Offer letter and placement association:
Industry associates to offer placement to the student pursuing the two-year course from Day 1 of their course. The offer letter may be conditional on passing the final assessment and ideally should contain the details of the offer.
