As candidates prepare to compete against the finest in the world at 46th WorldSkills Competition 2022, the largest skills competition in the world, a strong 58-member Indian delegation received a grand “Vijayi Bhava” send-off ceremony in New Delhi on September 22, 2022. The competitors will showcase their skills in 52 trades across 15 countries, including the USA, Europe, Korea, and Japan.

The current competition will showcase six new-age skills, including Industry 4.0, Robot System Integration, Additive Manufacturing, and Renewable Energy, wherein Team India will compete. The 58-member team has a 19% female presence, demonstrating a growth in women’s status, including in skills previously reserved for men. With the assistance of businesses and educational institutions like Toyota, Maruti, NIFT, Mahindra & Mahindra, and others, all Indian competitors underwent rigorous training to hone their skills.

“I congratulate all competitors, representing states, parents, and other supporters for raising the bar for skill. True Yuva Shakti is what we are experiencing right now, and we are all witnesses to this amazing phenomenon known as skilling that is driving our nation’s economy forward. I have no doubt that India’s technological advancement will soon be seen by the world.”
