Siemens Scholarship Program 2019 opens for applications

Siemens Limited, a company that focuses on electrification, automation and digitalization, has launched the 7th edition of Siemens Scholarship Program. Based on the German model of Dual Education, the program hones youth to become industry-ready technicians and engineers, and launch a sustainable career in engineering, R&D or manufacturing. With the Program, Siemens intends to create impact in the society – promoting technical education by leveraging its core competencies such as innovative technologies and know-how.

Under this initiative, Siemens will provide financial assistance to deserving meritorious students who lack the economic means. Siemens would also acquaint these bright minds with the dynamics of the industry, thereby leading to their holistic development. The scholarship program is available for students throughout the four years of graduation and 50% of scholarships is reserved for girls.

Highlights of the scholarship program

As of 2019, 585 students from 65 government engineering colleges across 23 states in India have been part of Siemens Scholarship Program

Scholarships are aimed at deserving candidates who can pursue their education and launch a sustainable career in engineering, R&D or manufacturing 

Siemens Scholarship Program 2019

Siemens Scholars who have graduated from this program have turned role models in their communities, motivating many towards taking up engineering as a career. The program develops employability skills and exposes the students to soft skills and the current requirements of the industry. Under its holistic development initiative, Siemens provides functional and technical trainings apart from financial support in the form of tuition fees and education allowances. The scholars have the benefit of a comprehensive development plan throughout the four years of graduation. The scholarship program follows a stringent selection process. ​

Eligibility for Siemens scholarship program

First-year students of Government Engineering colleges from the following streams can apply:

  • Mechanical / Production
  • Electrical
  • Electronics/Instrumentation
  • Electronics & Telecommunication
  • Computers/Information Technology

Age: Up to 20 years

ADVERTISEMENT

SSC: Minimum 60% aggregate

HSC or equivalent result: Minimum 50% aggregate and minimum 60% PCM aggregate

Annual family Income: Not more than Rs. 2 lakhs

Last date for receiving applications: September 9, 2019

    I’m Phillip and I’m a biomedical engineer from Uganda, I have been following you as a company for good products as in healthcare sector and even in any other sectors.
    My emphasis to to train with you in most of the medical equipment for repair, servicing, maintenance, assembling and Installation.
    Majorly in imaging department.
    Like CT scan, x-ray, US,and many more.
