Sector Skill Councils: Top points in the skilling agenda for 2017

by Team NSN
February 2, 2017
in Industry, Skill Talk

Lt. Gen SP Kochhar (Retd), CEO, Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC)

Lt Gen SP Kochhar TSSCThe new year has just begin and it indeed gives me an immense pleasure to share with you to some extent, the  tone and tenor of the ongoing training   programs being undertaken by TSSC in the light of the flagship programs launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During the concluding year, TSSC was successful in arranging several collaborative training programs in different parts of the country with different agencies. Recently, we signed an MOU with the University of Chicago for high end inputs to the skill development methodology. I must add here that because of our persistent efforts there has been a remarkable improvement in training benchmark and placements in the sector. As per the Prime Minister’s stress on exploiting the existing demographic dividend, we are tailoring our training programs accordingly. Our stress is preparing innovative training schedules with the help of knowledge experts in the telecom sector.

I must stress that we are moving forward with bold new programs for the next year to further gear up our digital profile in accordance with the future challenges. We have already displayed a rare dynamism with a pioneering spirit with a total commitment to do better in the future. We have already embarked on a plan to see the implementation of   state- of- art modernized training programs. I am sure we will meet the challenges of 2017 successfully.
