Samsung India’s flagship CSR program, Samsung Innovation Campus, concluded in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data courses for its first all-girls batch of 153 students in Vishakhapatnam, reiterating Samsung’s commitment to being a strong partner of India and working alongside the government in its mission to empower the country’s youth and Powering Digital India.
At a ceremony to celebrate their accomplishments held on April 13th, 2023, the students received mentoring and training at Dr Lankapalli Bullaya College in Vishakhapatnam and provided certificates of completion.
Officials from Dr. Lankapalli Bullaya College, Samsung, and the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) honoured an all-girls batch of 153 students, of whom 75 have received training in AI and 78 in Big Data.
ESSCI, a National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) authorised organisation, implements the program through its nationwide network of certified training and education partners.
“Our global citizenship initiative, Samsung Innovation Campus, aligns with India’s development agenda. Through this initiative, we want to empower the youth and create opportunities for them in future tech domains, further boosting India’s growth story and strengthening our commitment to Powering Digital India,” stated Mr. Hyun Kim, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia.
Samsung Innovation Campus aims to upskill youths between 18 and 25 in advanced technologies and enhance their employability. These are crucial technological skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Participants in the program get instructor-led classroom training throughout the program from ESSCI-approved training and educational partners across the country.
Participants in the program receive classroom training in the technology areas like,
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Big Data
- Coding and Programming
Students receive soft skill training to improve their employability and job placement in relevant organisations.
The AI course requires 270 hours of theory training and 80 hours of project work, whereas the IoT or Big Data courses require 160 hours of training and 80 hours of project work. Participants opting for the Coding and Programming course will receive 80 hours of training and can take part in a Hackathon.

Samsung India established its Samsung Innovation Campus program at eight nationwide campuses to upskill 3,000 youths in future tech domains like AI, IoT, Big Data, and Coding & Programming, enabling them to obtain relevant job placements.
