• Intel has collaborated with CBSE to launch ‘AI For All’ initiative with an aim to create a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) for people in India.
• NSDC has collaborated with Amity University Online with an aim to train young people professionally, enabling them to progress in their careers. Read more…
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to unveil at least 10 schemes including an academic bank of credit (ABC) in tertiary education, a competency-based assessment system for the school sector, and a framework for internationalisation of Indian education.
• As many as 861 candidates have successfully completed the 12-week-long “Online Training and Certification Course (OTCC) in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML)” conducted by the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

• Skoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL) is inviting applications for the 10th batch of its Mechatronics 2021 program in India, aimed at high-school graduates to learn new skills in the automotive sector.
• Placement cells will be established in ITIs to fill up all the vacant seats in every institution.
• Maruti Suzuki India has partnered with Savitribai Phule Pune University to train youth in automobile retail.
• The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has planned to set up six skill development centres across the rural and urban areas of the city under PMKVY.
• Rajasthan Solar Association has collaborated with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH for the skill development in the solar segment with the help of workshops and training programs.

• Online gaming major Zupee has launched a special e-skill training program under its flagship initiative Zupee Skilling Academy (ZSA) on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day 2021.
• Aditya Birla Education Academy (ABEA) has provided free training to over one lakh educators in India.
• SJVN has launched a Mobile Health Van for providing free medical facilities to people of Shimla and surrounding areas.
• KVKs has been working with full zeal for achieving the target of doubling farmers’ income.
• SATA is going to set up Rs 210 crore central kitchen at Bengaluru airport to take authentic Indian cuisine overseas.
• National Skill Development Mission (NSDM) is going to train a minimum of 300 million skilled people by the year 2022.
• 9,161 migrant workers out of 70,823 trained have been employed, either as wage earners or self-employed, under the government’s special programme for training of reverse migrants.
• Over 5.62 lakh seats have been cut from engineering colleges since 2019. AICTE will not accept fresh applications for setting up new engineering institutions till 2022.
• In Tamil Nadu, healthcare workers will be trained to cope with the possible third wave and already the infrastructure at all the paediatric wards in the government hospitals across the state have been upgraded.
