NSN celebrates World Youth Skills Day 2021 with “My Skills, My Power”

NSN celebrates World Youth Skills Day 2021 with “My Skills, My Power”. The objective of the movie “My Skills, My Power” is to create awareness and convey an important message on skills and education on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day 2021.

The message – “One can move ahead in life only with the right skills and education. Each one of us is responsible for our own skill development. Skills change lives”, is shared by the youth, one from each state and Union Territory of India in their local language.

Through this movie, we celebrate not only the World Youth Skills Day but also the coming together of skills and education, and the importance of vernacular languages in skill development and vocational training.

We, as team NSN firmly believe that we are responsible for our own skill development. Having a skill will help us be financially independent, get a job, improve one’s livelihood, create jobs, and contribute to the development of the nation.

Watch the movie “My Skills, My Power” below –

World Youth Skills Day (WYSD)

To reiterate the importance of skills, United Nations General Assembly has declared 15th July as World Youth Skills Day in 2014. The events organized on this day have opened the door to many dialogues and discussions between young people, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, employer’s and worker’s organizations, and policymakers. World Youth Skills Day has embarked on the journey towards the development of youth entrepreneurship as well.
