10,000 seasonal jobs by Mahindra logistics ahead of festive season: Mahindra Logistics has added 10,100 seasonal jobs ahead of the festive season and will retain a significant number of these employees. It has trained about 20,000 personnels in the last two years under the PMKVY scheme.

New normal for domestic workers: Among the informal workers, domestic workers are one of the worst affected by the pandemic and the new normal is not going to be easy. According to a survey, 86% of the household are more willing to employ live-in workers and 62.5% prefer trained domestic workers while willing to pay them higher salaries. 

Third phase of PMKVY to be launched on 1st January 2021: The Third phase of PMKVY will be launched on 1st January 2021. The third phase will focus on imparting skills related to healthcare, home delivery, sanitising, cleaning services among others.

India EdTech market to grow immensely in the next five years: The EdTech market of India is going to expand immensely in the next five years in value terms. There is a $10 billion market opportunity in this space where paid subscribers are likely to touch over the next four years.

NCL to train youth in various employment trades: NCL is going to train youth in various employment trades with the help of Skill Council for Mining (SCMS).A total of 480 youths will be trained in employment skills such as HEMM Mechanic, Mine Electrician, Mine Welder, Data Entry Operator etc.

SCALE India android app by LSSC: LSSC has launched an android app called SCALE India to provide a single platform to integrate quality assurance across all its services. It aims to provide a one-stop solution for the skilling, learning, assessment and employment needs of the leather and leather products industry.

Ministry of MSME leverages the power of AI/ML to strengthen Indian MSMEs: In a major initiative, the Ministry of MSME has on boarded the latest IT tools of AI/ML for providing assistance and solutions to the issues of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Read more…

AICTE partners Microsoft to empower learners and educators with future-ready skills: AICTE has partnered with Microsoft to empower learners and educators with future-ready skills. Over 1,500 course modules from Microsoft will be made available to students and educators free of cost through AICTE’s e-learning portal, ELIS.

Tech for Tribal initiative by IIT Kanpur: IIT Kanpur, in collaboration with Chhattisgarh MFP, is going to launch “Tech for Tribal initiative” program which is a Vandhan-ESDP training program sanctioned by MSME under their ESDP scheme.

GoDaddy collaborates with EduSkills to help boost digital skills development in India: GoDaddy has partnered with EduSkills. It aims to create a talent pool of thousands of skilled youth through GoDaddy Academy and will train educators across EduSkills’ 800+ partner universities and engineering colleges. 

School education to be reformed under a project partially funded by the World Bank: School education in India will be reformed under a project partially funded by the World Bank. Under the project the education system, especially for early childhood and vocational education in six states would be transformed. 

UoH partners AAIC Technologies to offer online PG diploma courses in AI and ML: UoH has partnered with AAIC Technologies Pvt. Ltd. to offer online PG diploma courses in AI and ML through the Centre for Distance and Virtual Learning. This Diploma is designed as per National Skill Mission requirements. 

Online skill development plan by NSS: NSS of vocational higher secondary education in association with NSS of KVASU has launched a new online skill-development programme “Jeevanam Jeevadhanam”.
