• Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) is going to manufacture complex vertical fin structures for the 737 family of airplanes.
• Industries should be well aware about the government training schemes to help them recruit and train candidates as per their need.
• Online Training and Education (OTE) offers professional Beauty and Hair Courses which are available for degree and diploma holders through video courses and online training.
• As per the union budget 2021, Rs. 1,000 crore will be provided for the welfare of Tea workers especially women and their children in Assam and West Bengal.
• The J.N. Tata Vocational Training Centre (JNTVTI) was inaugurated at the West Bokaro division of Tata Steel in a first-ever virtual programme.
• Airbus has partnered with Flytech Aviation Academy with an aim to train drone pilots in India.

Skill development news from the states

• Assam– The Government of Assam has collaborated with Oil India Limited (OIL), Duliajan for operationalisation and functioning of ITI, Lahowal as a centre of excellence.
• Gujarat- The Indian Institute of Skills will be set up by the Labour and Employment department in collaboration with Tata Group at Nasmed village of Gandhinagar.
• Haryana– Haryana to further strengthen its collaboration with Switzerland to share expertise in skill training, tourism and dairying.
• Jammu and Kashmir– Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Kulgam launched ‘Driving Skill Awareness Training’ initiative as part of celebration of National Road Safety Month.
• Jammu and Kashmir- The Jammu and Kashmir administration will set up multiple district youth centres (DYCs) to provide a medium to engage with young people for government outreach programmes.
• Maharashtra– HSNC University launched an unique five year Interdisciplinary Integrated M.A, M.Sc. program to enhance students’ learning abilities.  
• Maharastra– The Maharashtra government has issued guidelines for the establishment of Self-Financed Private Skill Universities which will be established under Skilled Maharashtra.
• Odisha– BCI Trust has collaborated with KIIT to set up Indian Institute of Law in the state.
• Tamil Nadu– Coimbatore is going to train 1200 candidates this financial year under the Amma Skill Training and Employment Scheme. The candidates should have passed class VIII and aged less than 45. They should be residents of Tamil Nadu with a family card. The trainees get stipend of Rs. 5,000 a month during the six month training. Of this, the government gives Rs. 2,000.
• Telangana– SSC NASSCOM has partnered TSCHE and TASKto launch Future Skills PRIME Platform for Telangana.
