Inauguration of Mackey School of Welding and launch of Australian Master Class for Welder Trainers

The state of Punjab is proud to have an international welding school to train youth in latest welding technologies and advanced welding skills. The occasion also marked the conduct of an Australian Master Class for Welder Trainers. Inaugural ceremony of Mackey School of Welding was held on 7th November at UDAY’s Multi Skill Development Centre – Hoshiarpur, Punjab. This occasion also marked the launch of 4-day Australian Master Class for Welder Trainers.  ADC Hoshiarpur Sardar Harbir Singh graced this occasion as the chief guest. Col Gahlaut – CEO, Capital Goods Sector Skill Council was also present along with Mr Param Singh – Founder & MD – UDAY and Mr Mark Corrigan – Master Trainer from Australia.

mackay welding school2Sardar Harbir Singh spoke about the importance of producing technically skilled workers for India to be at the top in today’s era. He also mentioned that setting up of Mackey School of Welding by UDAY is a boon for Hoshiarpur.

Col Gahlaut, CEO – Capital Goods Sector Council congratulated UDAY’s effort of providing training in the area of welding.

Mr Param Singh, Founder & MD – UDAY talked about how UDAY has set up training centres in 6 states. In Punjab, UDAY has a Healthcare Centre of Excellence in Faridkot, Multi Skill Development Centre in Hoshiarpur & 9 Rural Skill Centres.

Australian Master Class for Welder Trainers

This Australian Master Class for Welder Trainers has been organised by UDAY in partnership with Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM), Capital Goods Sector Council (CGSC) & Australian Training Partner TecSkill.

ADVERTISEMENT

This Master Training Class offers an incomparable opportunity for the trainers to broaden and deepen their skills by getting trained from an Australian expert – Mr Mark Corrigan. He is a certified expert in boiler-making / welding trade and welder training, with 20 years of experience.

This will help both experienced and novice trainers to polish the skills they need to facilitate training that’s participative, effective and has a lasting impact.

15 trainers from around the country have enrolled for this Master Class and were present at the launch along with the dignitaries.
