Demand for the cloud has shot through the roof since the beginning of the pandemic, as businesses try to build resiliency.

A study by Indeed claims Cloud Computing job searches have risen 108% in the last three years while 33% of employers are interested in hiring candidates with the right Cloud Computing skills. Forrester now predicts that the global public cloud infrastructure market will grow 35% to $120 billion in 2021.

The benefits and immense opportunities for growth have made cloud technology the new favourite for both – businesses as well as job seekers.

What is Cloud Computing?

Thanks to Cloud Computing, today, it is possible for businesses to access all their computing services without owing computing infrastructure or data centers. So, what exactly Cloud Computing is? Cloud Computing is the availability of computer system resources and delivery of computing services such as server, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence through the internet. It gives you the freedom to access the computer services and run the software programs without investing a hefty amount in the infrastructure.

You can rent access for your database, storage and other services from a Cloud Service Provider for your business. Using Cloud Computing services instead of owning and maintaining their IT infrastructure would be cost-effective for businesses. Today, 90% of the companies are moving to the Cloud.

Services that don’t require your presence near a physical computer now can be delivered through Cloud making it easier for the business to manage their online storage and data. So, most organizations are spending more than one-third of their IT budget on cloud services.
