Over the years, Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) has been availing direct funding/bridge funding from various CSR/ National Corporations/ Public sectors towards its various training program, to support the marginalized and weaker section of society especially women for imparting employment-oriented skill training in the apparel sector.
The National Corporations like National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC), National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC), National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC), and National Handicap Finance Development Corporation (NHFDC) have been offering course fee support to their targeted beneficiaries for undertaking vocational training in ATDCs across India for enhancing their employment prospects and livelihood.
ATDC also organizes to offers Industry and Corporate CSR scholarships to meritorious students. The selection for these “merit-cum-means” scholarship is done through proper test and selection procedure. This year ATDC is working on providing such 100 scholarships to candidates who want to take Degree/Diploma/ Certificate programs. The modalities have been worked out and shall be shared on the ATDC website shortly. Deserving and meritorious students are greatly benefited from such scholarships and sponsorship.
Candidates need life skills and soft skills to come up in life along with the domain skill. Hence, ATDC offers the Gap’s Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement (P.A.C.E.) soft skill program to such candidates and uplift these candidates especially women to be confident, communicating, and effective in their endeavors. The P.A.C.E. which is the transformational program has enabled ATDC to unlock the opportunities for youth especially women who work in the global apparel value chain, thus empowering the individuals and the communities.
