Digital Skilling Program for one crore students from Class 7 to graduation launched

The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and AICTE collaborated to launch a Digital Skilling program for one crore students from class 7th to graduation. This initiative will focus on skilling, reskilling and upskilling students via internships, apprenticeships, and employment to one-crore students in the Emerging Technologies.

“The world is facing changes and there is a need for skilling, reskilling and upskilling. We must make skilling a mass movement. The Government is functioning as a facilitator in creating a workforce for the future as it is the right time to work with a collaborative approach between industry, academia and policymakers. India has to cater to the workforce requirement of the world and technology will enable us to do so. Even tech companies should synergise technology with all Indian languages.

This program is to connect the right candidates with skill trainers and various courses providing expertise on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, data analytics, cyber security, and cloud computing. AICTE will give internship opportunities in technical fields for students from class 7th to Under-graduation through ‘Digital Skilling’ program.
