Amrita Multi Modal Applications and Human Computer Interaction (AMMACHI) Labs, a research center at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has announced the launch of a new YouTube channel for vocational and life skills training videos under the brand “Amrita Skills for Life”. The channel features a library of over 16 courses, in 6 languages, totaling 3000+ videos and 300+ learning hours.
For the past decade, AMMACHI Labs has been at the forefront of using well-crafted instructional videos and interactive learning technologies to provide skills training in villages, vocational training centers, and secondary schools. These courses, aligned with National Occupational Standards (NOS), have been successfully used over the years to provide skill training across India.
As part of the YouTube launch, all instructional videos developed by AMMACHI Labs are now being offered free on YouTube to benefit any learner and agencies/institutions to support their skills training.

The courses currently available through the “Amrita Skills for Life” YouTube channel include Optical Fiber Splicer, Two Wheeler Service Technician, Plumbing, Tailoring, Mushroom Cultivation, Hairstylist, Backyard Compost Making, Fabric Painting, Artificial Jewellery Making, Soap Making, Tie Making, and Ceramic Tiler, among others. These courses are available in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Odiya, and Bengali.
The “Amrita Skills for Life” YouTube channel is now the largest YouTube repository of vocational training videos in regional Indian languages. AMMACHI Labs will maintain the channel, and more videos will be added from time to time.

Dear Madam, we`re writing from a set of villages where there s not enough water to get crops nor is there any institution to support people. We`re near Pune only unable to send our boys and girls that far to get education.We ran an English medium school ( as asked by the government) and after 10 years Coronna robbed it from us as no English teacher came to teach nor the girls from a distance. We`ve built a good building for students which is empty. Could you kindly assist us to start your marvellous Skills training with us. Pune is too far for us. We`ve tried milk marketing,ricemill processing etc but to no avail. We had not read about your Institution and coulnt any way have not sent our kids. Please help us. Please note that our organisation has both male and female members and all of us work for girls. If possible please visit us once. Thank you
