2019 Year in review: Government’s international partnerships – revitalising technical education

International collaborations play an important role effective implementation of vocational training and skill development programs. Partnerships with Germany and Japan, learn from the best practices of these countries and look forward to opportunities to work abroad. Launch of India International Skill Centers, seeking expertise and advice, improvement of ITIs .

Sustainable growth of dual model of VET, training of trainers, master trainers, curriculum, training methodology are some of the focus areas for collaboration with Germany. While with Japan the Technical Internship and Training Program (TITP) could leverage India’s demographic dividend to help ageing countries like Japan. The setting up of India International Skill Centers  is another importance landmark in preparing Indian youth for international placements.

 

India strengthens partnership with Germany on the skills agenda through Joint Declaration of Intent (JDoI) with BMZ

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) signed two major agreements, referred to as Joint Declaration of Intent (JDoI), along with Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (hereinafter referred to as “BMZ”), Germany. One DoI was with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (hereinafter referred to as “BMBF”) for Cooperation in the Field of Skill Development and Vocational Education and Training. The second was signed for Dual VET initiative marking Sustainable Growth of Skills with Siemens Limited, India. Read more….

India – Japan strengthen cooperation in skill development, will bring scale and speed to TITP

India and Japan want to increase the technical exchanges in the field of skill development. Japan has indicated that it not only wants to increase the number of its companies in India but also to teach Japanese language and civilization with technical qualities to Indian youth. Read more…

2019 Year in review international partnerships in technical educationSkill India sends first batch of Care Workers under TITP to Japan

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) will be sending second batch of 17 skilled candidates to Japan under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP).The announcement was made the seminar on Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) held in Delhi on 30th January 2019. NSDC is the Implementing and Monitoring Agency for TITP in India and has empanelled over 20 Sending Organisations for technical and language training of candidates for this program. Read more…

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has collaborated with the Emirates Driving Institute (EDI), UAE, the largest and the most successful driving institute in UAE and Middle East and the Youth Chamber of Commerce (YCC), UAE, to establish driver training institutes in various parts of India.
